The most horrible thought struck me! How long have I been in captivity, how long have I been away? It could easily be a year... a decade... a century... Are the people I know, still alive? Is The Order still holding together? Maybe the memories I met in my dream were spirits of my dead friends.
What a frightening thought.
A most bizarre thing happened. I left my camp to scout around. I needed to find out where I am. I was gone not more than an hour. But as I came back, I saw that someone had visited my camp and left me food and water for three days worth. I tried to find tracks, but I saw none. The sand around the campfire has only my bootprints. I shouted thanks, but no one answered. Strange indeed. I ate for the first time in... I don't know. And it felt good. I feel my strength returning. I should start walking somewhere, so I'm thinking that I'll head north.
I wonder where my frostsaber Lene is... I hope she has survived.
